A Geek's Struggle

Yet another incident has caused the cave to change its face, although
it seems like it was a rather deliberate action this time around.

A member of the party seems to be responsible once again, and
among all the suspects, it's the one most capable at causing disaster...

Challenge Requirements

• Kill the Master Jelly¹ using a ROM patched with the "A Geek's Struggle" romhack²

1. the Master Jelly counts as being killed when you trigger the fading animation upon it being reduced to 0 hit points, just like the timing for speedrun attempts
2. you can obtain that romhack from the rompatcher that's linked in the Material section below; you are allowed to romhack to gain information about this patch, but you might not want to do so before your first playthrough to avoid spoilers (both regarding story and gameplay)

Material

You can obtain the romhack from the Lufia II ROM Patcher. To get the correct file, simply upload a Lufia 2 US ROM and check the "A Geek's Struggle" checkbox (certain other patches will already be included, so don't check anything in addition, other than visual patches optionally).
