June Challenge

A Song of Ice Valk and Firebird

With this many capable fighters around, no matter how many battles they saw through together... in the end, everyone wants to be in the leading spot.

It's time to sharpen not only your blade, but also your mind. Figure out who you can trust, and be smart about your decisions to triumph over the opposition.

Challenge Requirements

• Secretly choose a side — Fire, or Ice¹
• If you choose Fire, you have to complete all of the following requirements:
• Evolve Blaze to Form 2 or higher
• Kill² a Hades
• Reach floor 99
• If you choose Ice, you have to complete all of the following requirements:
• Pick and keep Tia as one of the characters for your party
• Kill² a Salamander without using Instant Death effects
• Reach floor 99
• Regardless of the side you choose, you may optionally choose to complete one³ of the following goals; each of which has a time value assigned to it:
• Kill² a Copper Dragon without using Instant Death effects  (2 minutes)
• Kill² a Silver Dragon without using Instant Death effects  (5 minutes)
• Kill² a Gold Dragon without using Instant Death effects  (10 minutes)

If you do, every participant on the opposing side gets that goal's time value added to their run's time⁴ once the challenge has ended.

1. choosing a side means to pick one of the two options at any time (this can be after your run starts), and submitting it along with your video. you can change it only when you submit another run. you do not have to make your chosen side public, and it will not be published here until the challenge ends, unless the completed challenges make it obvious. the leaderboard will indicate whether you completed all Fire and/or all Ice challenges (see below for an example leaderboard).
2. an enemy counts as being killed when you trigger the fading animation upon it being reduced to 0 hit points
3. if more than one optional goal is completed, only the one with the largest time value is taken into account. There's no benefit from getting multiple optional goals.
4. the time value from optional goals is only inflicted as a detriment to the opposing side, and in no way affects your run or other runners on your side. each run with a completed optional task will add its time value to each run of the opposing side. you will not get the stated time as a time bonus.
