A Guy's Struggle

In a not-too-distant future, some things on the island of Gruberik have changed...

As a true adventurer and cave explorer, a new challenge means a new reason to get in there, and slay that dreaded Jelly, no matter the circumstances!

Challenge Requirements

• Kill the Master Jelly¹ using a ROM patched with the "A Guy's Struggle" romhack²

1. the Master Jelly counts as being killed when you trigger the fading animation upon it being reduced to 0 hit points, just like the timing for speedrun attempts
2. you can obtain that romhack from the rompatcher that's linked in the Material section below

Material

You can obtain the romhack from the Lufia II ROM Patcher. To get the correct file, simply upload a Lufia 2 US ROM and check the "A Guy's Struggle" checkbox (certain other patches will already be included, so don't check anything in addition, other than visual patches optionally).
